Our Vision
To make Jesus non-ignorable in Beaverton and to the ends of the earth.
Our Mission
To glorify God by making joyful, passionate disciples of Jesus Christ.
Our History
From the beginning, our church has been mission-driven and prayer-dependent. First Baptist Church of Beaverton was planted out of Portland when Beaverton was still a small town of just 5,000 people. In 1962, we put down roots on Erickson Avenue, where we’ve gathered ever since to worship, connect, grow, and go.
In March 2023, with hearts turned toward the next generation, we entered a new chapter. We became part of a larger church family and began gathering under a new name, Calvary Parkside. Though our name has changed, our vision is a continuation of what that first church-plant embodied: making Jesus non-ignorable in Beaverton and to the ends of the earth! |
Churches that are a part of the CFC share:

2. Connect with one another authentically 3. Grow to know God deeply 4. Go show and tell the gospel boldly Our Family TraitsWe hope these traits are embedded in the fabric of our church culture.
1. Loving Unity We holistically understand ourselves through Jesus’ finished accomplishments and our union together with Him. 2. Prayerful Dependency We eagerly pursue abiding in Jesus as our first priority. 3. Courageous Generosity We courageously move toward others in warmth and kindness as givers, not takers. 4. Joyful Humility We enthusiastically go low in order to lift Jesus and others up. 5. Missional Urgency We passionately take up Jesus’ commission with risk-taking faith to make disciples to the ends of the earth. |
Common Family DoctrineEach Church agrees with and subscribes to the following doctrinal positions, based on our theological alignment with the Southern Baptist Convention. Many of our CFC member churches are a part of the Southern Baptist Convention (although this is not required to be part of the CFC). Some CFC churches are also a part of the Acts 29 Network, a church planting network with a similar theological framework and ministry philosophy.
