Growth Hour

Our Growth Hour is our primary environment for helping you grow to know God deeply. We have a few different classes that are offered during that time.

Calvary Institutes

Calvary Institutes are formatted as interactive classes or one-time seminars. We want to engage the brain as well as the heart so that the renewing of our minds would lead to a transformation in our lives.

Join us as we trace the history and story of redemption. We'll look at the creation, the fall, redemption, restoration & renewal, and glory.

Starting Point
One of Calvary’s greatest values is knowing one another. If you are newer around our church we’d love to get to know you, and we want you to know us as well. One of our pastors would love to meet with you and hear your story.

Membership
The local church is an important and biblical expression of the universal Church. At Calvary Parkside, we see membership to a local church as both a commitment to love and serve Christ's body and a practical step that enables us to better equip you in your walk to become a joyful, passionate disciple of Jesus.

Baptism
Jesus calls each of his followers to make a public declaration of their faith and join in the family of God through baptism. At Calvary Parkside we believe that baptism is for those old enough to make a personal decision to trust Christ. If you are interested in being baptized, we invite you to meet with one of our pastors to discuss baptism in greater detail. Baptisms are one of our favorite celebrations!

Build the Disciplines to Know God More

All major worldviews attempt to answer similar questions:

Where did we come from?
Why are we here?
Where are we going?

We believe that a biblical worldview presents a very strong case for a Creator. However, learning about God intellectually is just one aspect. There is also a spiritual dimension to learning about God. But being open to the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit) to guide your thoughts and thinking can begin to help you formulate better questions about various philosophies and worldviews, but maybe even help you buy-in to a biblical worldview. We wholeheartedly believe that:

God created the World
God Loves us.
Jesus was God's son
Jesus was killed to pave a way for people to be restored to a right relationship with God.
Jesus was resurrected as proof of God's ultimate plan
And there is a Heaven and a Hell for all of eternity.

You may be ready to begin digging a bit deeper into the Christian faith, or you may be ready to KNOW the bible and develop the confidence and disciplines to OWN your faith, or you may be ready to make your faith in Jesus Christ KNOWN to others. Wherever you are in your journey, we can help you take that next step toward knowing God More.

From building up husbands and wives in marriage to investing in the next generation, we want to see each person in your family grow as a joyful passionate disciple of Jesus.

Provide counseling for those in need

Receiving godly care and counseling can be a critical part of your discipleship, particularly when dealing with difficult life circumstances, broken relationships, trauma, addiction, and past wounds. A trained counselor is dedicated to the specific needs of the individual, and can uniquely support you through your process of Spirit-empowered change. Through pastoral counseling and/or professional counseling, we desire to be a part of your journey.
