REMINDER: FALL BACK! Before I talk about Sunday, I need to remind you that this Saturday night, before you go to bed, you will need to set you clock back one hour. That's right! This Sunday we "fall back", which means I get to enjoy an extra hour of sleep! This might just be the best weekend of the year!
Join us Sunday at 9:30am, as we kick-off a brand new mini-series titled, Portraits of Thanksgiving. Throughout this series, we will be asking the question, "How do we develop the habit of being thankful?" To help us answer this question, we will peer into the everyday activities of some people from the Bible, whose lives were built on a foundation of prayer and thanksgiving. Daniel is one of those individuals who devoted himself to thanking God for...being God. When times got tough, Daniel chose thankfulness, staying faithful to his convictions, and letting God's will play out in his life. God's glory was Daniel's chief concern. As you prepare your hearts to worship God passionately, remember these words from the Apostle Paul: Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. I Thessalonians 5:16-18 Adult Discipleship Class Study: Stick around after our service as we continue our study through Psalm 119. Psalm 119 is a heartfelt prayer from the Psalmist, that can be used as a tool to transform your affection to love God's Word more. Connect with One Another Authentically: Calvary Parkside Ladies, get crafty and join us for a morning of DIY crafting. Crafts will include both fall and Christmas designs. No experience required! When: Saturday November 18th from 9:00am to Noon! Bring a friend and your favorite treat for a cookie exchange. Thank you for being a church that values prayer. See you Sunday!
